A man who had served jail term in connection with a 2020 murder case was found hanging in his residence at Uripok Bachaspati Leikai under Imphal Police Station early Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as one Heisnam Premjit, 51, son of (L) Ibotombi of Uripok Bachaspati Leikai, as per sources.
In connection with the incident, Imphal Police Station has registered a case and handed over the body to its family members after the post mortem was conducted at RIMS on Sunday.

It may be recalled that H Premjit was convicted of killing one Kabrabam Shyam alias Nanao on March 6, 2020.
