NPF urges all to extend cooperation to the ADC bill

The party is cautious of any party or leaders who are trying to misinterpret this very proposed bill for their own political mileage, the Naga People’s Front (NPF) Manipur state unit stated.

The Naga People’s Front (NPF) Manipur state unit on Sunday appealed to all the stakeholders and right thinking persons in the state to extend their cooperation so that the ADC Bill, 2021 can be passed as an Act.

In a release issued on Sunday, NPF stated the Hill Areas Committee, Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 16 unanimously decided that ‘The Manipur (Hill Areas) Autonomous District Council Bill 2021’ should be tabled as a bill on August 20 in the 13th session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly and be passed as an Act.

The release added that NSP MSU in its office bearers’ meeting on September 18 acknowledges and appreciates the party legislatures in general and chairman Hill Area Committee K Leishiyo, in particular for the effort they have exhibited for the proposed ADC Bill 2021.

NPF supports the bill and it is an attempt of the party which was promised to the people on various occasions so that development reaches to the hill areas of Manipur, it added.

Furthermore, the party hopes that the passing of the ADC Bill 2021 in the Manipur Legislative Assembly will bring peace and development in the state, stated the release.
