Manipur’s COVID-19 recovery rate improves to 45.95 per cent

The recovery rate of COVID-19 cases in Manipur has improved to 45.95 per cent with the discharge of 26 more patients from the hospital since Tuesday, a release stated on Wednesday.   

The 26 patients were discharged after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test, said a release issued from the COVID-19 Common Control Room.

On Tuesday the state reported recovery rate of 44.81 per cent as 59 more patients were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test.

The cumulative number of positive cases as of Wednesday is 1,260 with 26 more returnees testing positive for COVID-19, the release stated, adding that active and recovered cases are now 681 and 579 respectively.

The new cases reported on Wednesday include one each from Imphal West and Jiribam, two each from Tamenglong and Thoubal, six from Kamjong, 11 from Senapati and three from Ukhrul, the release said adding that they are being shifted to Covid Care Facilities and necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
