Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Campaign on pan India awareness, outreach programme to be launched
The department of Justice and National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) will launch a 45-days campaign on pan India awareness and outreach programme on October 2.
Manipur State Legal Service Authority (MASLSA) on Thursday announced that as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration, the department of Justice and National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) will launch a 45-days campaign on Pan India Awareness and Outreach Programme on October 2.
The Government of India and the state governments are celebrating ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate 75 years of India's independence, MASLSA stated in a release.
It stated that during the campaign, the legal services workforce of the state will conduct various legal awareness programmes (both online and offline) at every village and panchayats to spread awareness to the citizens about their rights and entitlements under various schemes of the government, organisational structure of the legal services institutions and its achievements etc.
It mentioned that as a preparatory step for this campaign, MASLSA in association with District Legal Services Authorities will organise a special legal awareness and outreach drives across the state on Friday. Special legal awareness drives will also be conducted at various places through multi utility mobile vans by showing theme songs of NALSA and MASLSA, documentaries, distribution of pamphlets, posters etc., it added.
Panel lawyers and para-legal volunteers across the state will also conduct special legal aid camps at the villages for giving legal aid/advice to the villagers, it stated.
It is appealed to all the citizens to support MASLSA and District Legal Services Authorities in conducting the campaign and come forward to take part in the campaign.
