Manipur University Students Union (MUSU) has appealed to the organisations in the state to avoid issuing press statements concerning issues related to Manipur University without consulting the union.
Briefing the media at the university campus on Monday, MUSU president Maibam Maikel said the union has been formed to take up and look after different issues in the university.
The door is open for any organisations to express their opinions and point out any loopholes in the university. However, they should avoid issuing statements in the media regarding the university before finding out the facts, said Maikel.
The MUSU president further said that the union and the authorities of the university will look into problems faced by students in their final registration process for PhD in the university.
