COVID-19: Two more die in Nagaland, death toll surges to 622

Nagaland recorded 39 new COVID-19 positive cases on Saturday.

COVID-19 claimed two more lives in Nagaland, taking the death toll to 622, while 39 more persons tested positive for the infection on Saturday, according to the latest updates by the state health department.

Fourteen patients with COVID-19 positivity have also died in the state. However, their deaths were not due to COVID-19, the health department stated.

Dimapur, with 30 new COVID-19 cases, continued to report the highest number of daily COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland.  The other new COVID-19 positive cases are three each from Kohima and Phek, two from Mokochung and one from Wokha.

"#COVID19 Fresh Positive: 39 on 11th September, 2021. Dimapur: 30, Kohima: 3, Mokokchung: 2, Phek: 3, Wokha: 1," the state health department posted on Twitter.

Nagaland also recorded 44 new recoveries on Saturday, including 21 from Dimapur, five from Kohima, 15 from Mokokchung and three from Phek, the state health department said in another tweet.
