Dimapur continues to report highest daily COVID-19 positive cases in Nagaland

Nagaland reported 45 new COVID-19 positive cases on Friday.

Nagaland's COVID-19 caseload on Friday surged to 30,555 as the state recorded 45 new positive cases, with a positivity rate of 2.29 per cent, according to the latest update by the state health department.

A total of 1,962 test results were received on Friday, of which 45 were found positive for the infection, the state health department stated, adding that the cumulative number of test results received is 3,42,753 as of Friday.

Dimapur continued to report the highest number of daily COVID-19 positive cases with 27. Twelve new positive cases were from Kohima, two from Mokokchung while Kiphire, Tuensang, Wokha and Zunheboto reported one new positive case each, the state health department posted on Twitter.

Nagaland also recorded 48 new recoveries, including 11 from Dimapur, 12 from Kohima, 13 from Mokchung, six from Zunheboto, four from Phek, and one each from Longleng and Mon. With these new recoveries, the cumulative number of COVID-19 recovered cases in the state reached 28,344.

The number of COVID-19 cases in Nagaland is 650 as of Friday.

The death toll remained at 620, excluding 14 non-COVID deaths, as no new COVID-19 death case was reported in the state on Friday. As many as 927 cases have migrated to other states, as per the update by the health  department.
