Nagaland on Wednesday reported 21 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the total number of cases in the state to 480, state Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom said.
Taking to Twitter, the minister said that the new cases are among those 199 samples tested. Of them, 10 cases are reported from Peren, eight from Phek, two from Kohima and one from Dimapur, he said.
"21 new positive cases of COVID-19 have detected out of 199 samples tested. Peren QC: 10, Phek QC: 8, Kohima QC: 2, Dimapur QC: 1," the minister tweeted on Wednesday morning.
Among the 480 confirmed cases in Nagaland, 312 cases are active while 168 patients have recovered from COVID-19.
Kohima now has the highest active cases with 94, followed by Peren with 93 and Dimapur with 54 active cases. While Mon has 38 active cases, Tuensang has 20, Phek has nine, Zunheboto three and Mokokchung has one active COVID-19 case.
On Tuesday, eight new cases were reported in the state, taking the total cases to 459.
