Go to Hills 2.0: CM appreciates people, organisations for successful launch

The chief minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone for a total number of 33 projects worth Rs 42 crore for infrastructural development of Churachandpur district on Monday.

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has expressed his appreciation and gratitude to various civil organisations and different groups belonging to various communities for the successful launch of Go to Hills 2.0 at Churachandpur on Monday.

In his message, CM Biren expressed his gratitude to Zomi Mother’s Association, Paite Tribe Council, Kuki Inpi Churachandpur, Young Vaiphei Association, Zomi Youth Association, United Zomi Organisation, Chairman of Zomi Council, village chiefs, church leaders and people of Churachandpur for extending warm welcome to dignitaries and officials and making the programme successful in meeting its objective for taking governance closer to the people.

The support and cooperation extended by stakeholders, evidenced by a huge public turnout at various programme venues was phenomenal.

Mention may be made that thousands of people participated in the launching function of Go to Hills 2.0 at Peace Ground, Tuibong on Monday.

The chief minister inaugurated and laid foundation stone for a total number of 33 projects worth Rs 42 crore for infrastructural development of Churachandpur district which included inauguration of Trauma Care Centre and PSA Oxygen Plant at District Hospital, Churachandpur, and a 30-bedded Special Block of CHC, Singhat.

To improve awareness and increase penetration of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB PM-JAY) e-card, Aapkee Dwar Ayushman was formally launched in the State yesterday.

The program also saw the launch of distribution of various assistance and equipment worth Rs 51.52 crores to 59,837 beneficiaries. A total of 8,911 students of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts were given Pre and Post-Matric scholarships. Smart phones were also distributed to 153 students under Chief Minister’s College MAHEIROI E-support scheme.

It may be recalled that there are more than 342 ongoing projects at various sites for Churachandpur and Pherzawl district with a total cost of Rs. 1100 crore, 88 projects worth Rs. 381.3 crore have been completed and dedicated to the people of the district in the last four and half years.
