Nagaland logs 47 new COVID-19 positive cases

One more person died due to COVID-19 in Nagaland.

Nagaland on Tuesday recorded 47 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the state's tally to 30,435, according to the latest update by the state health department.

The new positive cases are 23 from Dimapur, 16 from Kohima, four from Phek, three from Wokha, and one from Longleng.

"#COVID19 Status: 7th September, 2021: Fresh Positive: 47, Recoveries: 50, Death: 1," the state health department tweeted

The number of COVID-19 recovered cases in the state surged to 28,178 with 50 new recoveries on Tuesday.

Among the new recovered cases, 18 were from Dimapur, 14 from Kohima, eight from Mokokchung, six from Phek, two from Zunheboto, and one each from Kiphire and Wokha, the health department posted on Twitter.

Nagaland's COVID-19 death toll also increased at 618 with one more fatality on Tuesday. Fourteen persons with COVID-19 positivity also died in the state. However, their deaths were not due to COVID-19, the state health department stated, adding that 917 cases have migrated to other states.
