UNM-M women committee condoles ATWO president's demise

President of All Tribal Women Organisation (ATWO) Phuthou Veikholam Mate breathed her last on September 3, 2021.

The women committee of United Ngo’s Mission Manipur (UNM-M) on Monday extended its condolence on the sudden demise of their beloved colleague and president of All Tribal Women Organisation (ATWO) Phuthou Veikholam Mate, who breathed her last on September 3, 2021.

"The committee is shocked and saddened to hear about the sudden demise of Veikholam. We extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the bereaved family and join the family in prayer for peace of the departed soul," the committee stated in its condolence message. 

The committee termed Veikholam Mate a straightforward and outspoken leader.

"As an associate member of the Women Committee of UNM-M since 2004, Veikholam Mate was a straightforward and outspoken leader whose contribution during the critical phase of the state and towards women empowerment, welfare of humanity and peace of the state," the committee stated, adding that Veikholam Mate's love for the people and contribution to the overall development of the state will be remembered.

Her demise is a great loss for the state as a whole, it added.
