Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), Beer and Distilled Indigenous Country (DIC) Liquor seized by Kakching Police, Sugnu Police under the supervision of SP Kakching Victoria Yengkhom and Excise Kakching as well as Excise Sugnu from different places were destroyed with fire and disposed of at a spot near Kakching Excise Station on Sunday.
The disposal was attended by OC Excise Station Kakching Langpoklakpam Dino, Excise Kakching, teams of Pallel and Thoubal, 2nd OC Kakching Police Station Th Joy Martin and other Police personnel.
L Dino expressed that the liquor which were disposed of Sunday included several brands of IMFL, Beer, (DIC Liquor) Yeast Cake and Fermented Rice etc. Their estimated value is worth around Rs 2,05,900, he added. The seized liquors were disposed of under the permission from Commissioner Excise under Section 69 of Manipur Liquor Prohibition Act, 1991, he added.
