One stolen vehicle was recovered by Churachandpur police from Hmuia Veng, Lamka Tehsil, Churachandpur district on Friday.
According to police, a report was received at around 10:15 am on Friday that one brand new white colour Activa 6G (without registration number) has been stolen from the New Bazaar area. Soon after, the police team under the supervision of Churachandpur SP and additional SP (Ops) searched for the missing vehicle by putting mobile check posts at various points of the town. After an intense search, the vehicle was finally found at Hmuai Veng at around 12:20 pm.
After verification, the vehicle was handed over to the rightful owner, Donkhannuam, 52, wife of (Late) Hangzakam of Gouchinkhup Veng, New Lamka, Churachandpur district.
A case has been registered at Churachandpur Police Station and further investigation is on to catch the culprit(s), said the police source.
