AMFA shortlists 65 women players for national championship

The All Manipur Football Association has also named eight officials for the Santosh Trophy as well as the Senior Women team for National Football Championship 2021.

The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) have shortlisted 65 women players for coaching cum trial selection in preparation of Manipur Senior Women team for participating in the Senior Women National Football Championship 2021 to be held from November 10-30.

The shortlisted players are nine goalkeepers, 24 defenders, 16 midfielders and 16 forwards.

The AMFA informed that all shortlisted players need to produce COVID-19 vaccination certificate while reporting for coaching on September 15 at 8 am at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.

Menawhile, AMFA has named eight officials for the Santosh Trophy as well as the Senior Women team for National Football Championship 2021.

According to AMFA general secretary L Jyotirmoy Roy, the four officials who are named for the National Football Championship 2021 (NE Qualifying Round) are Th Ibotombi Singh as manager, Gift Raikhan as coach, S Premkanta Singh as goalkeeping coach and Lemba Singh as physiotherapist. They are to report at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong on September 10 at 8 am.

Those shortlisted players for Santosh Trophy are also to report on the same day along with RTPCR test result (to be done 72 hours ahead) and full kits.  

As for the Senior Women team, H Thoi Devi has been appointed as manager, O Bembem Devi as coach, L Ronibala Chanu as goalkeeping coach and S Roshni Devi as physiotherapist. The four are to report on September 15 at 8 am at Artificial Turf Ground, Lamlong Thongkhong.
