During the inauguration programme, Ngaihte lauded CDS for their initiative in making the farmers grow pineapple in the last four years. He said that providing livelihood to people is good but creating a market for the fruits grown is even better.

Saying that there is a need to capture the market with organic food products, he requested the people to buy the product as it is safer than the imported items. He further expressed his appreciation for CDS on behalf of the district administration, and state and central governments.

CDS president Lianzamung Tonsing said that CDS was started in 2016 and Zo Foods is their first achievement after they supported farmers in planting different varieties of fruits. The profit of the manufactured products sold in markets will be reutilised in buying machinery for farmers to maximise the fruits plantation, he added.
