Mizoram's COVID-19 tally surges to 57,962

The COVID-19 positivity rate in the state is 22.59 per cent as of Monday.

COVID-19 caseload in Mizoram surged to 57,962 with the addition of 440 new positive cases, while the death toll mounted to 213 with one more fatality, according to the latest update posted by the state Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) on Twitter.

Mizoram's COVID-19 positivity rate is 22.59 per cent as of Monday, it stated.

With the new positive cases, the number of COVID-19 active cases in Mizoram increased to 8,510. As many as 49,239 people have recovered from the disease in the state.

Aizawl has the highest number of COVID-19 active cases in the state with 4,952 cases, followed by Kolasib with 873 and Mamit with 636 cases. The other active cases are 590 in Lunglei, 314 in Siaha, 364 in Champhai, 63 in Serchhip, 584 in Lawngtlai, 41 in Khawzawl, 67 in Hnahthial and 26 in Saitual.
