Nagaland on Thursday reported 60 new COVID-19 cases, pushing the state's caseload to 29,778, according to the latest update by the state health department.
The death toll remained at 598, excluding 14 deaths not related to COVID-19 as no death case was reported in the state on Thursday.
Among the new COVID-19 positive cases, 17 were from Zunheboto, 12 from Dimapur, 10 each from Kohima and Mokokchung, four from Mon, three each from Phek and Longleng and one from Kiphire, the state health department posted on Twitter.
Meanwhile, a total of 84 persons, including 35 from Kohima, 24 from Dimapur, 20 from Mokokchung, four from Zunheboto, and one from Peren, recovered from the infection. With these new recoveries, the cumulative number of COVID-19 recovered cases in Nagaland reached 27,457.
The number of COVID-19 active cases in Nagaland stands at 847 as of Thursday while 862 cases have migrated to other states, according to the health department.
