Seven bills passed on second day of 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly

The government bills were first moved by leader of the House, Chief Minister N Biren, followed by Deputy CM Y Joykumar and Law and Legislative Affairs, Labour and Employment Minister Th Satyabrata.

Seven government bills were passed on Monday - the second day of the ongoing 13th session of the 11th Manipur Legislative Assembly.

The government bills were first moved by leader of the House, Chief Minister N Biren, followed by Deputy CM Y Joykumar and Law and Legislative Affairs, Labour and Employment Minister Th Satyabrata.

The chief minister moved to pass ‘The Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Bill number 19 of 2021)’ and ‘The Manipur Conservation of Paddy Land and Wetland (second amendment) Bill, 2021 (Bill Number 24 of 2021)’.

Deputy chief minister moved to pass ‘The Manipur Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Third Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Bill Number 20 of 2021)’ and ‘The Manipur Goods and Services Tax (Fourth Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Bill Number 2021 (Bill Number 20 of 2021)’.

Law minister moved to pass ‘The Manipur Legislative (Removal of Disqualifications) (Sixth Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Bill Number 18 of 2021)’; ‘The Manipur (Court) (Second Amendment) Bill, 2021 (Bill number 23 of 2021)’; and ‘The Manipur Shops and Establishments (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Bill, 2021 (Bill Number 22 of 2021)’.

The bills were taken into consideration by Speaker Y Khemchand and unanimously passed in the Assembly.
