Chief Minister Biren Singh took to Twitter and congratulated the new state governor who was appointed as Manipur governor on Sunday.

"Congratulations to Shri La. Ganesan Ji on being appointed as the new Governor of Manipur. The people of Manipur are ready to welcome you with open arms," Biren tweeted.

As per reports, a communique from the Rashtrapati Bhavan stated that Ganesan will be the new “Governor of Manipur with effect from the date he assumes charge of his office.”
