Manipur COVID-19 active caseload drops to 3,994

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered vaccine has reached 14,79,663.

Manipur on Sunday recorded 285 new COVID-19 positive cases, including one secuirty personnel, that pushed the state's tally to 1,10,942 while the death toll mounted to 1,751 with four more fatalities, according to the latest update by the state health department. The positivity rate stood at 10.3 per cent.

The release state that of the four COVID-19 fatalities recorded on Sunday, three deaths were reported from Imphal West and one from Imphal East. Of the four deaths, two had co-morbidities and none of them were vaccinated, it stated.

Imphal West and Imphal East continued to report the highest number of new COVID-19 cases with 106 and 49 cases respectively. Thirty were from Bishnupur, 16 from Churachandpur, 12 from Kakching, 18 from Noney, 23 from Tamenglong, 11 each from Thoubal and Ukhrul, two from Chandel, five from Senapati and one from Tengnoupal.

The state also recorded new 426 recoveries, taking the cumulative number of recovered cases to 1,05,197. The recovery rate is 94.82 per cent, the release added.

Meanwhile, a total of 2,153 D-type Oxygen Cylinders and  431 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

Vacant Beds in Hospitals

According to the release, there are 313 vacant general beds and 86 ICU/HDU beds of COVID-19 in nine hospitals of Manipur.

In ILAND Hospital (Contact No. 9540404955/ 7085206820), there are eight vacant general beds; in MSF, Little flower School (Contact No. 9311222947), there are zero vacant general beds and 11 ICU/HDU beds; in CMC, Koirengei (Contact No. 9612636004/9612905628), there are 27 vacant general beds and six ICU/HDU beds.

In Iboyaima Hospital, Singjamei (Contact No.7005436870/ 9612022125) there are 22 vacant general beds and three ICU/HDU beds; in Jivan Hospital, Kakching (Contact No. 9366034272/ 7085348366) there are 16 vacant general beds and six ICU/HDU beds; in Shija Hospital (Contact No. 7005097688/7005125158) there are 30 vacant general beds and 22 ICU/HDU beds.

In Raj Medicity (Contact No.7005105552/9366496411) there are 64 vacant general beds and 17 ICU/HDU beds, in RIMS (Contact No. 7640862396) there are 120 vacant general beds and 16 ICU/HDU beds and in JNIMS (Contact No. 8131855346) there are 26 general beds and five ICU/HDU, it mentioned.
