Civil judge restrains Saratchandra, his agents entering MPP office

The court also restrained MPP from announcing any candidates for the party till the next date.

Civil judge senior division gave injunction that Khongbantabam Saratchandra and his agents are restrained from entering the premises of Manipur People’s Party (MPP) office and from disturbing the peaceful administration of the party, said MPP general secretary (administration), Haobijam Gitajen Meitei.

Meitei was speaking at a press conference held at its party office located near Pologround, Imphal on Saturday. He said that one Kh Saratchandra, who announced himself as intending candidate of MPP in some local daily, expressed that a central committee meeting for the party will be conducted on Saturday. The person is not related to the party and has been trying to mislead the public.

He appealed to the people who are responsible for doing such activities to stop misleading the public.

Meitei said that the court directed that Saratchandra and his agents be restrained from entering the MPP office campus till next date. The court also restrained MPP from announcing any candidates for the party till the next date, however, normal routine office work may be continued.

Instead of trying to mislead the party, they can come to the competent forum as there is no issue in the party, said Meitei. He appealed to the people to support and to give cooperation for smooth function of the party.
