Two arrested with huge cache of WY tablets

A case has been registered at NAB Manipur Police Station

A team of NAB police arrested two inter-state drug traffickers including one minor from Mantripukhri near New Secretariat building gate along National Highway-2 on Monday. One of the arrested persons was identified as Md Abdul Joynul, 49, son of Md Abdul Jabar of Kwakta Makha Leikai, Bishnupur. The other person being minor, police did not disclose the identity. A total of 20 bundles of WY tablets weighing about 24.07 kg estimated to be about 2 lakh tablets were recovered from the goods truck bearing registration number NL-01G-7464. During preliminary investigation, the arrested persons revealed that the drugs were procured from Moreh, made the concealment in the truck at Kwakta in Bishnupur district to be transported to Dimapur. In this regard, a case has been registered at NAB Police Station for further investigation.
