Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) celebrated 75th Independence Day at Congress Bhavan, Imphal on Sunday.

MPCC president N Loken Singh hoisted the Tricolor flag in the presence of Congress Legislature party (CLP) leader Okram Ibobi Singh, member of Congress Working Committee Gaikhangam, former presidents of MPCC and members.

In his short speech, the MPCC president said Independence Day must be celebrated while remembering the sacrificial spirit of the forefathers. He also said that the present generation must not forget that their independence and freedom is the outcome of the sacrifice made by the forefathers.

 Loken also appealed to the different communities of the state to live together peacefully.
