Amid shutdown call by several groups in the state and the Covid-19 pandemic, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh on Sunday (August 15) wished everyone a happy 75th Independence Day and gave salute to the freedom fighters for the freedom the nation enjoys today.

The chief minister in a series of posts on Twitter said he feels proud of being a part of this nation and shared a video clip, awakening the spirit of India's Independence on this day

"Wishing everyone a Happy 75th Independence Day. This is a day to feel proud about being a part of this great nation. On this auspicious day, I salute the freedom fighters who have made the supreme sacrifices to give us the freedom we have today. Jai Hind !"

CM Biren also joined the 75th Independence Day observation and Flag hoisting ceremony at BJP Manipur Head office along with party leaders Sambit Patra, Sharda Devi and others.
