Accident claims two lives at Chingjaroi Ngachaphung village, three injured

The three persons injured were in critical conditions and referred to District Hospital Ukhrul for further medical examination.


A road accident involving a truck (Shaktimaan) claimed two lives at Chingjaroi Ngachaphung village in north of Ukhrul district while two of the three persons injured were in critical conditions and referred to district hospital Ukhrul for further medical examination on Friday. 

The deceased have been identified as one M Laknokla, wife of M Yaruingam and M Thotshim, son of M Angradi. Both were residents of Chingjaroi Ngachaphung village. The incident occurred at around 4:20 pm.

The two seriously injured victims have been identified as R Kahaola, daughter of R Khokham and T Songayin, son of T Yaruingam. The other injured victim has been identified as Inoson. 

According to reliable sources, the truck headed towards Chingjaroi Ngachaphung, carrying sand and around 30 passengers onboard, lost its brakes and started going backwards.

The two deceased and three injured were all residents of Chingjaroi Ngachaphung village.
