COVID-19 essential items provided to IFP

Many journalists tested positive while discharging their duties in the state.

As a mark of encouragement to mediapersons who are working day and night to provide updated information and news amid the pandemic, social worker Thangjam Arunkumar who is also the entrepreneur of Arun Enterprises provided essential medical items to the Imphal Free Press on Thursday. The essential medical items, including hand sanitisers, hand wash and face masks, were handed over to the manager of the daily on Friday evening. As the second wave of the COVID-19 has affected all walks of life in the state, journalists have also fallen victim to the pandemic. Many journalists have tested positive while discharging their duties in the state.
