The Ad hoc Committee observed that the order cannot be expected to serve any positive value either in intent or in effect, the committee stated in a release.

The committee finds it hard to draw any reason why the transfer of N Somorendro is not linked with the recent college teachers' rightful movement spearheaded by the FEGOCTA which demanded the implementation of the 7th UGC Pay and Regulations, 2018, the committee stated.

It is also equally difficult to consider the content of the said order concerning clause No 6 of Memorandum of Understanding jointly concluded on March 6, 2021 by the state government on one side with FEGOCTA and All Manipur College Teachers Association on the other, it stated.
