Two more Border Security Force (BSF) jawans tested positive for COVID-19 in Meghalaya, taking the total tally in the state to 50.
Earlier, on Saturday one of the personnel was also tested positive for the virus.
Health and Family Welfare Minister Alexander Laloo Hek said that one of the infected jawans had returned to the state from Haryana on June 26 while the other is a driver who was engaged in transporting troopers from Assam to BSF Meghalaya Frontier Headquarters in Shillong.
With these two fresh positive cases, Meghalaya now has seven active cases, 42 recovered cases and one COVID-19 death.
