Police seize large quantity liquor at Daili village in Kangpokpi

According to police sources, the seized liquors were found in a Maruti EECO Van bearing registration number MN06LA 2474 driven by Ganesh Chahar, 31, son of Gopal Darjee of Maram Bazar, Senapati.

As a part of the liquor drive in Kangpokpi district headquarters and its surrounding vicinity in connection with the Independence Day, Kangpokpi police team seized a huge quantity of DIC liquor on Tuesday morning at Daili village.

The team of Kangpokpi Police Station led by OC, inspector Henminthang Kipgen seized around 300 litre of DIC liquor from the possession of one Arubam Chaka, 30, daughter of Hekao of Marambang village, Senapati district while conducting frisking and checking along NH-2.

According to police sources, the seized liquors were found in a Maruti EECO Van bearing registration number MN06LA 2474 driven by Ganesh Chahar, 31, son of Gopal Darjee of Maram Bazar, Senapati.

The seized items were handed over to Excise department Kangpokpi after completing necessary formalities.
