Ukhrul witnessed 19 new COVID-19 cases, while eight patients were discharged on Saturday, taking the total active tally from 86 to 95.
Of the total 87,633 eligible population in the district, as many as 24,091 persons have been vaccinated till date. A total of 18,316 persons have been administered the first dose while 5,775 others have been inoculated with two doses. Altogether, 505 eligible persons were vaccinated today.
Given the prevailing scenario of the district, healthcare workers, district administration and other frontline workers have been relentlessly urging the eligible district populace to get vaccinated at the earliest.
Meanwhile, according to DSO Ukhrul, the district cumulative positive caseload reached 994 with 576 males and 418 females while the cumulative fatalities stand at 28.
On Friday, 20 people tested positive in Ukhrul while 18 patients were discharged.
