LTT chief, two others 'shot dead' in Saikul area

Reportedly the LTT chief and two others were shot dead by armed miscreants at their hideout at Maojang village, Saikul subdivision in Kangpokpi district.

The Liberation Tiger of Tribal (LTT) commander-in-chief, Khaikhohao alias Haopu Khongsai and two others were reportedly shot dead in Saikul's Maojang jungle on Friday.

A reliable source informed that among the two other victims, one was identified as Naolun Khongsai, son of the slain LTT chief. However, details of the deceased persons except that of the LTT's could not be ascertained yet till the filing of this report.

The incident, which reportedly occurred on Thursday night, came to light late around 9 am today.

Reportedly the trio was shot dead by armed miscreants at their hideout in Maojang village's paddy field in Saikul subdivision in Kangpokpi district. Maojang village is located about 15 km away from Saikul Police Station.

A team of Saikul police along with leaders of Saikul civil bodies were on the spot. The bodies were yet to be collected for post mortem till the filing of this report.
