Vaccination-cum-medical health camp held for road construction workers
The medical staff of Tamenglong battalion administered Covid-19 vaccine to 150 beneficiaries for construction company camp site.
The 44 Assam Rifles under the aegis of 22 Sector Assam Rifles IGAR (E) on Friday organised a Covid mass vaccination cum medical camp at the road construction camp site located in Sarungpang village of Tamenglong district in Manipur.
The one-day mass vaccination cum medical camp was inaugurated by 44 Assam Rifles commandant colonel Pradeepkumar.
Speaking on the occasion, the commandant praised the workers who are contributing towards the betterment and development of the region. He said that the workers are toiling hard, amid Covid restrictions to usher a new era of development in the hill region of Manipur.
The commandant also said that regardless of heavy rain, freezing cold and scorching sun, these workers have been labouring tirelessly to ensure that commuting to Tamenglong becomes a less difficult experience in future.
He further said that their dedicated services will help the district economically bloom in the years to come. He urged the workers to follow strict Covid appropriate behaviours and measures even after vaccination.

During the medical camp, the medical team of 44 Assam Rifles attended and examined over 95 workers and distributed general medicines to them till the time of filing this report.
The chief medical officer of the battalion has established a medical testing laboratory for the benefits of these workers at the campsite. Basic blood and urine testing facility was made available to the beneficiaries free of costs.
