The Youth Affairs and Sports (YAS) Manipur has invited applications from eligible sportspersons for the award of Padma Vishusan, Padma Bhusan and Padma Shri which shall be given to distinguished and exceptional achievers in the field of sports.
According to YAS Manipur director, T Phulen Meitei, the award will be distributed on the occasion of Republic Day 2022 at New Delhi.
Eligible sportspersons can download the prescribed format from the website http://padmaawards.gov.in or can be obtained from the office of YAS Manipur at Khuman Lampak on or before August 20 on all working days, he added.
AMFA condoles demise of Ngamkholan Baite
The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) has condoled the sudden demise of DFA Longpi president, Ngamkholan Baite on Tuesday at RIMS Hospital.
AMFA in a statement stated that Ngamkholan Baite was an Executive Council member of the association. The association recalled the services rendered by Ngamkholan for the development of football in the state and in particular in Longpi areas.
The AMFA in respect to the departed soul, prayed for his perpetual serenity and shared the grief of family members at this hour, it added.
