Protesting the bomb attack that took place at the residence of Laishom Premjit Singh on Saturday, residents of Turel Wangma Leikai, Moreh Ward No VII held a sit in protest at the Community Hall of the locality on Wednesday.
The protesters displayed placards that read ‘Eikhoi Shanti Pammi (We want Peace)’, ‘we strongly condemn bomb attack on innocent public’, ‘Micham Prajabu Aki-akhang Pibiganu (Do not terrorise innocent public)’and ‘Yumlakta ta Bomb Langsinba Yaningde (We protest against the bomb attack in residential areas)’ among others.
An elderly woman who was participating in the sit-in protest said that such action of hurling bombs in public places is highly condemnable. “Such actions should not be repeated and any issues should be solved in a peaceful way,” she added.
