NSCN (I-M) general secretary Th Muivah recovers from COVID-19, discharged from hospital

NSCN (I-M) general secretary Th Muivah was discharged on August 2 from the hospital after recovering from COVID-19. It may be mentioned that the NSCN-IM leader was rushed to the Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur, on July 24 evening after he complaint of "uneasiness".

Meanwhile, NSCN-IM, through a press statement on Tuesday said it "is highly impressed" by the overwhelming love and concern exhibited by everyone, particularly the doctors, nurses, staff and hospital authority of Christian Institute of Health Sciences and Research (CIHSR), Dimapur, where Th Muivah was hospitalized for one week.

"Thank you CIHSR for your hard work and dedication. We truly appreciate the sacrifices you have made during the difficult times and your steadfast commitment to give the best caring service to not only Mr. Th Muivah but to others as well.

"Thank you for your persistent efforts in making sure that Mr. Muivah is safe in your hand. Thank you for your courage and dedication. It is truly incredible that Mr. Muivah went through such a caring and passionate service that makes all the difference," stated the statement.

NSCN-IM then expressed that it "sincerely" admired the tenacity, compassion and determination of the hospital staff during this trying time. "It is our wish and prayer that the doctors, nurses and staff of CIHSR stay healthy to continue their tireless work to save others," it added. 

NSCN-IM then said it "owes each one of you a debt of gratitude". The NSCN-IM statement further said, "God never fail as He gave us such a confidence in His power of grace to anyone who put their whole trust in Him". It added, "Thank God for His redeeming love and healing power". 

NSCN-IM then said it thanked God for being a divine physician and healer of the sick. "We shall be failing if we do not acknowledge the prayerful support of the Naga churches, church leaders and other well wishers across Nagalim. Equally significant is the sincere concern shown by Naga people and Naga civil society organizations. We are also happy with the cooperation extended by the Nagaland State Government in every possible way. Let us all give praise to our Lord, our God, because with Him all things are possible," the NSCN-IM statement added.
