BOSEM Class 10 result 2021 announced; 100% pass percentage registered

Students who appeared for the HSLCE 2021 conducted by BOSEM can check their results on the official website.

The Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) on Saturday declared the results of Class 10, 2021 examination, registering an overall pass percentage of 100 per cent. The students can check and download their class 10 scores from the official website-bsem.nic.in.

At the declaration ceremony held at BOSEM office, Babapura, Imphal West, state Education Minister Sorokhaibam Rajen said the result was declared based on assessment reports submitted by schools. Announcing that the state board has promoted all the Class 10 students to the next grade, he said that this year a total of 47,208 students were registered for class 10 Board examinations 2021, of which 20,416 boys and 19,438 girls cleared the exams.

Since the examination was cancelled, BOSEM released an assessment criteria based on which students have been marked. According to the criteria, the students were marked on their performances in Class 9 and 10. Their performances gave 30 per cent weightage to class 9 final results; 50 per cent to class 10 pre boards and the remaining 20 per cent to the internal assessments, Rajen said.

Those who are not satisfied with their Class 10 results allocated to them on the basis of the BOSEM’s guidelines will be given an opportunity to appear for the special examination, which will be conducted by the BOSEM as and when the prevailing situation of the COVID-19 pandemic are conducive to hold the examination, he added.

Initially, the Class 10 examination which was scheduled to be held on May 6 to 28 was postponed in view of the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the situation aggravating, the Education (S) decided to cancel the examinations entirely.

This year, from government schools as many as 12,562 students appeared and 2642 students passed in 1st division, 7,596 students in 2nd division and 2,324 in 3rd division. In total 12,562 students cleared the examinations. From aided schools, 2,177 students appeared and 645 students passed in 1st division, 1,230 in 2nd division and 302 in 3rd division. In total, 2,177 students cleared the examinations.

From private school, 32,469 students passed in 1st division, 19,036 in 2nd division and 12,253 in 3rd division, in total 32,469 students passed the high school leaving certificate (HSLC) examinations 2021.

In the declaration statement issued on Saturday, BOSEM stated that it has started to issue a combined certificate and mark-sheet to the candidates who have passed the HSLC examination with effect from 2004.

“The original certificate cum mark-sheet will be issued only to the passed candidates soon after the announcement of the HSLC examination,” it stated, adding no other original certificate or mark-sheet is issued separately,.

It stated that the schools may collect the certificate-cum-mark sheet of the HSLC Examination, 2021 on August 16, 2021. The provisional certificate cum mark sheet for the HSLC Examination 2021 will be issued to the passed candidates on August 2, 2021 on payment of Rs 800 plus Rs 50 as the cost of application form, it stated.  A new mark sheet will be issued after declaration of results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination, 2021, it further stated.

The candidates may apply in the prescribed application form issued by the BOSEM along with original mark sheet for appearing HSLC Examination, 2021 in offline mode within 30 days after the declaration of results without any requisite fees. No examination forms fill-up after the expiry of the said 30 days shall be entertained, it added.

It stated that for this year, the list of position holders, subject-wise toppers, will not be declared for the HSLC Examinations, 2021. All the successful candidates of the HSLC Examination, 2021 have been declared division-wise. As assessment of the students has been done by the schools, the process of verification of marks, providing photocopy of answer scripts and re-evaluation scheme will not be applicable for the HSLC Examination, 2021, it stated.

The declaration ceremony was attended by BOSEM chairman, A Joykumar; Education (S), government of Manipur director L Nandakumar and commissioner of Higher and technical education (S) Harekrishna.
