The Committee of Civil Societies Kangleipak (CCSK) in association with Union of Private Rehabilitation Centre Kangleipak (UPRECK) organised COVID-19 vaccination programmes for inmates at three drug de-addiction and rehabilitation centres in Imphal West district on Thursday.
UPRECK stated in a release that the vaccination programmes were conducted at Awakening Drug De-addiction Centre, Langthabal Meitei Lamkhai; Yaiphakol Drug De-addiction Centre, Langthabal Kunja; and Guiding Vision and Drug De-addiction Centre Canchipur.
During the programmes, a total of 119 inmates from the three centres were vaccinated, it stated.
The vaccination camps were conducted as a part of the Mass Vaccination and Advocacy programme in Rehabilitation initiative and vaccination programmes will continue on Friday at other drug de-addiction centres, UPRECK added.
