Manipur journalist Lairenjam Bijen Singh passed away after battling with COVID-19 at RIMS on Friday.

State Works Minister Th Biswajit on Saturday extended condolences to the bereaved family over the loss.

Biswajit stated in his condolence message that he was deeply saddened to hear of the sudden and untimely demise of Lairenjam Bijen Singh, who is a staff reporter of local eveninger Imphal Times.

 “His death has left a void that would be difficult to fill and is a loss to the media fraternity of Manipur. I offer my humble and heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, friends and associates. May his soul rest in peace,” he said. 

Lairenjam Bijen Singh, son of Lairenjam Muhindro Singh of Sagolband Tera Sapam Leirak, Imphal West is survived by his wife and daughter, the minister added.
