Mizoram's COVID-19 tally surges to 29,645 with 625 new positive cases

A total of 22,322 patients have recovered from COVID-19 while 127 persons in Mizoram have died due to the disease.

Mizoram's COVID-19 tally surged to 29,645 after the state added 625 more Coronavirus cases on Wednesday, according to the state Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR).

The COVID-19 positivity in Mizoram as of Wednesday was 14.27 per cent, the DIPR stated.

With the new positive cases, the number of COVID-19 active cases increased to 7,196. Aizawl has the highest number of COVID-19 active cases with 4,784, followed by Lunglei with 815 and Kolasib with 638, as of Wednesday. The other COVID-19 active cases in the state included 399 in Lawngtlai, 308 in Mamit, 146 in Siaha, 63 in Champhai, 31 in Serchhip, five in Saitual, four in Hnahthial and three in Khawzawl.

As per the updates posted by the DIPR on Twitter, a total of 22,322 patients have recovered from COVID-19 while 127 persons in Mizoram have died due to the disease.
