India logs 41,383 new COVID-19 cases, 507 more deaths

Daily positivity rate remains below 3 per cent for 31 consecutive days.

India's COVID-19 active caseload rose to 4,09,394 with 41,383 new cases reported in the last 24 hours, the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry said.

The total COVID-19 active cases constitute 1.31 per cent of total confirmed cases of over 3.12 crore.

The weekly positivity rate remains below five per cent at 2.12 per cent, while the daily positivity rate is 2.41 per cent, less than three per cent for the 31 consecutive days.

In all, 3,04,29,339 people have reported recovered across the country. As many as 38,652 patients recovered in the last 24 hours, pushing the recovery rate to 97.35 per cent.

The death toll rose to 4,18,987 with 507 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours, according to the health ministry bulletin.

The COVID-19 testing capacity has been substantially ramped up with 45.09 crore tests conducted till date. And over 41.78 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive
