In a bid to bring safety for the motorists and general public, the Churachandpur Traffic Control Police (TCP) under the supervision of Churachandpur SP Srivanand Surve introduced ‘bamboo traffic barricade’ at Tuibuang bazaar area on Tuesday in the presence of additional SP Lawrence K Munluo, Traffic OC James Vaiphei and KSO Churachandpur members.

The SP said that the initiative was taken after several accidents occurred in the last few months that led to five deaths in the district. He continued that most of the road accidents had occurred due to drunken-driving and the bamboo barricades would be slightly safer for the reckless drivers.
