India reports lowest daily new COVID-19 cases in 125 days

India reports 30,093 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest in 125 days, according to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry.

India on Tuesday reported 30,093 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, lowest in 125 days, according to the Union Health and Family Welfare Ministry on Tuesday.

The country’s COVID-19 active caseload of 4,06,130 is lowest in 117 days. The active case tally constitutes 1.30 per cent of the total 3.11 crore cases.

The COVID-19 death toll in the country mounted to 4,14,482 as 374 more people succumbed to the disease. The death rate stood at 1.33 per cent

The Weekly Positivity Rate remained below five per cent at 2.06 per cent, while Daily Positivity Rate stood at 1.68 per cent, less than three per cent for 29 consecutive days.

Meanwhile, 45,254 patients recovered in last 24 hours, the ministry stated. The number of total recoveries across the country rose to 3,03,53,710 and the Recovery Rate increased to 97.37 per cent.

As many as 41,18,46,401 crore people have been administered the Covid vaccine doses under Nationwide Vaccination Drive as of Tuesday.

The testing capacity was substantially ramped up with a total of 44.73 crore tests conducted across the country on Tuesday.
