India's COVID-19 active caseload of 4,32,041 constitute 1.29 per cent of the total COVID-19 confirmed cases in the country

India reported 41,806 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours, pushing the active caseload to 4,32,041 which constitute 1.29 per cent of the total cases of Friday.

According to the COVID-19 bulletin issued by PIB early Friday, downtrend in weekly positivity rate remains below five per cent at 2.21 per cent, while the daily positivity rate stood at 2.15 per cent, less than three per cent for 24 consecutive days.

Meanwhile the recovery rate increased to 97.28 per cent as countrywide total recoveries reached 3,01,43,850. As many as 39,130 patients recovered during the last 24 hours.

The country’s Covid-19 death toll reached 1,11,989 as 581 more COVID-19-related deaths were reported in the last 24 hours.

Testing capacity ramped up with 43.80 crore tests conducted across the country, while 39.13 crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
