Manipur Police Sports Club showers blessing to judokas Shushila Likmabam at Tokyo Olympics

DGP, LM Khaute opined that not only in Olympic Games but every sports person should be encouraged to do well in international competitions.

“It is a matter of great pride for the Manipur Police Sports Club that an athlete of the club, judokas Sushila Likmabam has made it to the Tokyo Olympic Games 2020. We hope that she will make the uniform and the nation proud,”

This was stated by DGP, LM Khaute, who attended the blessing and best wishes ceremony for the athlete held at Indoor Stadium Khuman Lampak on Thursday.

The DGP further said, “I have a lot of expectations from Sushila Likmabam. May she come back home triumphant with crowning glory. It is a moment of pride for the MPSC as one of its sportspersons is in the Tokyo Olympic Games.”

Khaute prayed that “May the almighty bless her for a fruitful performance and so does the other rest of the sportspersons from the state.”

He opined that not only in Olympic Games but every sports person should be encouraged to do well in international competitions.

The blessing ceremony was also attended by ADGP, Clay Khongsai; 9th IRB (Mahila Battalion) commandant, Sarda Laishram; and Imphal West SP, L Ibomcha.
