Encouraging the five Olympians to do well in Tokyo Olympic Games, Dronacharya awardee Leishangthem Ibomcha extended financial assistance to the families of the five athletes.
In a rare gesture, SAI-SAG deputy director and Dronacharya awardee in boxing Ibomcha visited the residences of the five athletes along with his family members and extended the financial assistance as a token of love and players for a scintillating performance in the summer games.
A financial assistance of Rs 10,000 and a citation each was extended to the families of Saikhom Mirabai Chanu at Nongpok Kakching village, Sh Nilakanta Sharma at Kontha Ahallup, Sushila Likmabam at Heingang, Sushila Chanu Pukhrambam at Thangmeiband and MC Mary Kom at Game Village, Langol.
