House-to-house COVID-19 testing conducted in Jiribam

According to the CMO of Jiribam, E Okendro Singh, following a specific order from the state government, the district administration immediately commenced house-to-house testing on Saturday in Jiribam.

Only one person was tested COVID-19 positive till Tuesday during the house-to-house testing or Covid detection programme which commenced from July 10 in Jiribam district.

According to the CMO of Jiribam, E Okendro Singh, following a specific order from the state government, the district administration immediately commenced house-to-house testing on Saturday in Jiribam.

“On the first day, house-to-house testing was conducted in Ward No VIII Chandrapur, and there were no positive cases out of the total of 20 people who got tested,” he said. While there were also no positive results from the 81 individuals who got tested in Ward No VIII Lakhipur on Sunday, a single person tested positive for the virus out of two family members who got tested in Bapupara Ward No V on Tuesday, the CMO added.

Meanwhile, All Jiribam United Clubs Association (AJUCA) organised three mass vaccination camps at Mulargao LP School, Tuisenlen Community Hall in Chhotobekra GP, and Chandranathpur on Wednesday.

Vice president, AJUCA M Premchandra said as a continuation of the COVID-19 mass vaccination campaign organised in association with the District Administration, CMO of Jiribam and Covid Task Forces at GP level, mass vaccination camps were organised in different parts of the district today. He also added a public appeal for support in order to make Jiribam district Covid Free.
