24-hour total shutdown call in Manipur from July 16 midnight

The JAC stated that the bandh has been called since the state government has failed to declare the results of the viva voice/ recruitment even after repeated appeals it made.

The All Manipur 10th and 11th IRB rifleman 2019 batch Joint Action Committee ( viva voice completed candidate) has called for 24-hour total shutdown in the state with effect from July 16 midnight.

Essential services, religious activities and medical services/ patients will be exempted during the bandh, the JAC stated in a release issued on Tuesday.

The JAC stated that the bandh will also be supported by the guardians of the rifleman and All Hill Tribal 10th and 11th IRB rifleman JAC and that the state government should be held responsible for any outcome of the bandh.

The release stated that the bandh has been called since the state government has failed to declare the results of the viva voice/ recruitment even after repeated appeals made by the JAC.

The JAC appealed to all sections of the state to extend support to the proposed bandh.
