Two die in road mishap along Tiddim road

Both the bodies of the deceased were handed over to their family members after post-mortem examinations at RIMS on Thursday.

Two persons died in two different road accidents that occurred on Wednesday along Tiddim road. 

The accident that occurred under Nambol Police Station was around 1:40 pm when a motorcycle (Avenger) bearing registration number MN01AB-5428 collided with a car (Maruti XL6) with no registration number.

The person who was riding the motorcycle was seriously injured and brought to Shija hospital at around 5:02 pm but he succumbed to his injury. The deceased person was identified as Chanambam Tomba, 28, son of Ch Budha of Bishnupur Ward no.5.

Another road accident occurred at Phougakchao Ekhai near Lai Thangjing Temple at around 5:20 pm along Tiddim road under Moirang Police Station.

One motorcycle (R-15) bearing registration number MN02B/0914 crashed into a car that was parked near the temple. The motorcycle rider was taken to hospital immediately but died. The deceased was identified as Holkholngam alias Ngamcha Haokip, 21, son of Thongpao Haokip of Zalenmun, Churachandpur district.
