Sewa Bharti contributes medical aid to four isolation centres

The team first visited the Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) of Thoubal assembly constituency located at Waikhom Mani Girls College, Thoubal and presented one oxygen concentrator and extra accessories.

A team of Sewa Bharti, Manipur led by volunteer coordinator, retired lieutenant general L Nishikanta Singh distributed Oxygen Concentrators, Oximeters, PVC Oxygen face masks and Nasal Cannulas at four Home Isolation Centers in Thoubal and Kakching districts on Monday.

The Sewa Bharti team was helped by L Rameshwar Singh of Thoubal. With his assistance, the team first visited the Community Home Isolation Centre (CHIC) of Thoubal assembly constituency located at Waikhom Mani Girls College, Thoubal and presented one oxygen concentrator and extra accessories. The Sewa Bharti team had previously presented an oxygen concentrator to the CHIC and the present one was intended to supplement the earlier one.

The team also visited the Community Isolation (COVID Care) Centre at Yairipok Bishnunaha and presented one oxygen concentrator and extra accessories. Earlier, Sewa Bharti had re-deployed one concentrator there before the centre shifted from Tentha after situations there worsened.

The team further visited CHIC Heirok Part-II, Khangabok in Heirok assembly constituency and presented oxygen concentrators and extra accessories. Sewa Bharti had also presented one Oxygen concentrator and extra accessories to the CHIC before.

The team finally presented three oxygen concentrators and extra accessories at the CHIC at Langmeidong Higher secondary school of Hiyanglam assembly constituency, Kakching district.

Speaking about the presentation, L Nishikanta Singh said that so far Sewa Bharti has brought more than 100 Oxygen concentrators and extra accessories from Sewa International, Sewa Canada, and Oxygen Langer of Canada for the people of Manipur and they were distributed to COVID centres all across the state. The oxygen concentrators presented currently are part of the 40 Oxygen Concentrators brought recently from Oxygen Langer of Canada, he added.

L  Nishikanta Singh was asked to distribute 110 Oxygen Concentrators to the Northeast states, and 40 Oxygen concentrators were allotted to Sewa Bharti, Manipur for the people of the state. The team expressed hope that the presentation made by Sewa Bharti, Manipur will contribute to the overall effort of combating COVID-19 in the state.
