The Kuki Revolutionary Army (KRA), an entity of the tripartite talks with the Government of India and the Manipur government under the Kuki National Organization (KNO) announced a cash reward would be given to the first three fully vaccinated villages in Saikul assembly constituency.
The outfit information and publicity secretary T Simte said that amid strong hesitation in getting vaccinated by the majority, KNO/KRA wants to encourage the chiefs and youth clubs within its operational area to get their people vaccinated at the earliest.
The first fully vaccinated village will be rewarded with Rs 1 lakh, the second fully vaccinated village with Rs 60,000 and third fully vaccinated village Rs 40,000 respectively.
“Vaccinate to save lives, roll up your sleeves and get vaccinated. Let us make this a challenge to make a Covid free Saikul,” the outfit said.
Earlier, such encouraging challenges were also made by the local MLA Yamthong Haokip to reward the first three fully vaccinated villages in Saikul assembly constituency.
